About Ailefo

In a small factory on the beautiful island of Bornholm, Denmark, Ailefo produces Europe’s first and only organic modeling clay. They are driven by the concept that Every Choice Matters. Children not only need creative play to stimulate physical and personal growth, but the state of the world we live in demands that we create products of the highest possible sustainable standard.

As a mom to a creative daughter, Ailefo´s founder Christiane wanted to create a product, which both cared for her daughter and the environment she will inherit Being a registered nurse, aware of the high cases of allergies in children of today, allergy friendliness was equally important.

In 2015 Christiane left her nursing career behind and established Ailefo. She and her daughter worked intensively to develop an Organic Modeling Clay that met their high standards regarding sustainability, allergy friendliness and clean Scandinavian design. Ailefo Organic Modeling Clay was launched October 2016 and has gone on to win awards and delight creative children and their parents from around the world.
